Leadbeter to Hold Press Conference on Aiden’s Law

December 15, 2025

WHAT: Continuing his commitment to protecting Pennsylvania’s most vulnerable citizens, Rep. Robert Leadbeter (R-Columbia) will hold a press conference to provide an update on Aiden’s Law (House Bill 2102), an initiative he is spearheading to create a Purple Alert system in the Commonwealth. Similar to Amber Alert for abducted children, Silver Alert for missing older adults and Green Alert for missing at-risk veterans, the Purple Alert system would rapidly notify the public and law enforcement when an individual with certain cognitive, intellectual or developmental disabilities goes missing.

Dad Legislators Call for Action to Defend Daughters in Sports

WHAT: A group of dads – who also serve as state lawmakers – are leading a call for action on legislation to protect the rights of all daughters to compete on a level playing field in sports. The Dads Defending Daughters legislation, House Bill 1849, was introduced last month and would require public school entities and public institutions of higher education to ensure their sports activities are designated as male, female or coed, and expressly prohibit biological males from competing in teams or sports designated for females.

Leadbeter to Speak about Aiden’s Law Proposal

October 9, 2025

WHAT: Rep. Robert Leadbeter (R-Columbia) will discuss legislation to create a rapid notification system to help locate individuals with cognitive, intellectual or developmental disabilities who go missing. The proposal, known as a “Purple Alert” or “Aiden’s Law,” would ensure law enforcement and the public receive immediate, coordinated alerts; similar to Pennsylvania’s existing Amber and Silver Alert programs.
